Shipping Particulars
Most orders can be shipped via Australia Post or Express Post. There are restrictions on some items as follow: Aerosols, Flammable and hazardous materials. Because of government regulations, orders containing aerosols, flammable or hazardous materials must be shipped via ground transportation. These products will attract additional freight costs and will take longer to arrive. Flammable and hazardous materials are marked with a (F) icon throughout our site.
Truck and Freight orders
Due to size and weight restrictions, certain orders must be shipped by "common carrier" (trucking company). We will find the carrier that best suits your order and call you for approval of the shipping charge. Oversize and Overweight parcels are parcels with a greatest linear dimension over 105cm. or parcels with a total weight over 20kg or parcels with a girth exceeding 140cm. Both oversize and overweight parcels will take longer to arrive and additional charges may apply.
Please call for any details regarding flammable, hazardous, truck, freight oversize and overweight shipments or products. We will contact you for any orders that must be sent by anyway other than Australia Post.
Pick up and Shipping
Orders received before 10:00AM Eastern Standard Time, will be shipped out the same day. Orders received after 10:00AM Eastern Standard Time, will be shipped out the following Business Day (Monday-Friday). Orders received on the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), will be shipped out the following Business Day. (Monday-Friday) Providing all items are in stock.
If any items are out of stock, you will be advised and given an expected arrival date. You will have the option of having a part order shipped or waiting until your order can be fully supplied.
Shipping and Handling Charges (Australia Post standard rates)
Parcels up to 250g $3.80
Parcels up to 500g $4.50
Parcels up to 3kg $7.90

Insurance can be organized for your parcel if you wish. Request a quote at time of ordering.
Failed Delivery
In the event you are not at home you may wish to authorize the carrier to leave the delivery at your door. In this event, you are responsible for the order. To authorize this, contact the carrier in advance. If you elect not to allow the carrier to leave your package and it is returned to us, you will be billed the return delivery charges.
Overnight or Urgent Orders
We can ship most orders overnight if requested. Please call or email for shipping charges. Same day deliveries can also be arranged on request, provided they are placed before 10.00 AM EST
Backorders
There are times when we will not be able to fill your order 100%. We can place items on backorder at your request. We will contact you to ensure that you still wish to receive these goods before we ship them.
Tax
Victorian Artists Supplies is required to add G.S.T. to all goods. Prices shown in your shopping cart account have G.S.T. included.
